We’re Hosting a Blood Drive – And You’re Invited!

June 30, 2025

At Hauser Packaging, we believe in showing up for our community—and this summer, we’re doing just that. On Thursday, July 31st, we’re hosting a local blood drive at the Cambria Hotel in downtown Portland, and we hope you’ll join us.

Thursday, July 31st | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Cambria Hotel, 25 Hancock St, Portland, ME

Why We’re Doing This

The idea for this event came from our very own Branden, one of our Account Managers, who previously worked for the Red Cross. His firsthand experience with the life-saving impact of blood donations got us thinking: Why not host a blood drive of our own?

We’ve been looking for ways to donate our time as a team and connect more personally with our local Maine customers. Hosting a blood drive felt like the perfect way to do both.

The truth is, none of us know when we—or someone we love—might urgently need blood. This is a simple, meaningful way to give back. And who knows? One small donation could save someone’s life.

What to Expect

While giving blood is the heart of this event, we’re making it fun, too.

Giveaways & Hauser Swag
Snacks, smiles, and great company
Celebrations for every person who signs up

Whether you’re a regular donor or it’s your first time, we’ll be there to cheer you on.

We’d Love to See You There

If you’ve been looking for a way to give back this summer—or just want to hang out with some local folks doing good things—this is your chance.

It only takes a moment to sign up, and just an hour of your time could help save someone’s life.

Sign up today

Let’s make this a day to remember.

One-Way Kegs are for more than just Beer

February 6, 2025

The Versatility of Petainer One-Way Kegs:

What Makes Petainer Kegs Stand Out to us at Hauser?

Petainer kegs are proudly produced in the USA and supported by a team of U.S.-based technical experts. This means faster service, reliable support, and a supply chain you can count on—right here at home.

Unlike traditional kegs, Petainer’s one-way, lightweight design eliminates the need for costly return logistics. Made from high-quality, recyclable PET plastic, these kegs provide a hygienic, convenient, and sustainable solution for beverage producers worldwide. We regularly meet with our Partners at Petainer to learn as much as possible about their products. Here is a group shot from this past summer when we had an in-person visitor from Petainer. Yes, they came to Portland, Maine, to talk about their One-Way Kegs (with us)!

Key Benefits of Petainer One-Way Kegs

  • No keg washing or maintenance required

Sustainability

  • Fully recyclable PET material
  • Lower carbon footprint compared to stainless steel kegs
  • Reduced water and chemical use since there’s no cleaning process

Freshness & Quality

  • Advanced oxygen and CO2 barrier technology
  • Protects against light and oxidation
  • Ensures longer shelf life for beverages

Easy-to-Use & Compatible

  • Works with standard keg couplers
  • Simple filling process for brewers and beverage makers
  • Available in multiple sizes to fit different business needs

Whether you’re a craft brewery, winery, coffee roaster, or bar, Petainer One-Way Kegs offer unmatched flexibility, cost efficiency, and sustainability. With their ability to handle a wide range of beverages, they’re becoming the go-to choice for businesses looking to streamline operations while maintaining product quality.

Benefits to kegging wine

We love that serving wine this way is incredibly efficient, eco-friendly, and keeps it super fresh with zero waste. A keg weighs far less than 32 heavy glass bottles, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. If your bar offers wine by the glass, you’ll never waste another bottle—this method keeps the wine as fresh as the day it was made. Offer your customers the choice of a glass, carafe, half-liter, or full liter to maximize sales opportunities. Plus, you’ll cut down on glass bottle disposal and storage costs.

Perfect for cold brew producers

Kegging cold brew coffee is a cost-effective and efficient way to serve fresh, high-quality coffee on tap. It allows for quick dispensing, reduces oxidation to maintain freshness, and offers the option to serve nitro-style for a rich, creamy texture. Petainer Kegs provide better shelf life compared to smaller packaging and are approved for High-Pressure Pasteurization (HPP) to further extend distribution potential. Additionally, these kegs lower CO2 emissions, eliminate keg washing, and are made with recycled materials.

Ready to make the switch? Explore Petainer One-Way Kegs today and see how they can benefit your business!
