Last Friday, our team closed the office a little early for a well-deserved field trip — a VIP tour of Allagash Brewing in Portland, Maine!
The experience was a perfect mix of fun, education, and inspiration. We sampled some of Allagash’s exceptional beers (and maybe found a few new favorites) while learning about their rich history and dedication to craft. Founded by Rob Tod, Allagash remains independently owned and deeply rooted in Maine’s brewing community — and their passion for Belgian brewing traditions truly sets them apart.
Of course, we geeked out over their packaging department. The operation was clean, efficient, and full of thoughtful details — a reflection of the same care that goes into every bottle and keg they produce. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, giving us insight into each step of the process from brewing to bottling.
One of my personal favorite parts of the tour was seeing the photos and artwork displayed throughout the brewery. The space was filled with personality — from the walls lined with creative visuals to the stunning bottle chandelier that added a touch of artistry and warmth. Even though it was a production environment, it felt welcoming and homey, embodying the community spirit that defines Allagash.
The afternoon was a reminder of what makes this industry so special: passionate people, shared craftsmanship, and a good beer to bring everyone together.
A huge thank you to the team at Allagash for the warm welcome and an unforgettable experience. Cheers to great beer, great people, and continued collaboration across the craft beverage community!
